anaisdotmfk.com/journal deletion Nov. 26th, 2005 @ 08:44 pm
Hello to all.

This journal will be deleted as soon as I get what I need from LJ Support.

Regarding the webzine: I have decided to do the following:

1) Pay for all pending stories that were to be published.
2) Suspend any current editions because of server instability- an issue which has still not been corrected. Actually, my inquiries haven't been responded to, either.
3) Place a notice on the website (as soon as I am able to, of course) indicating that the site has gone on hiatus until reliable hosting can be located.
4) Relaunch the webzine in the spring with the Lenten edition, if all goes as planned.
5) Notify all bulletin boards that no further stories will be accepted until the relaunching, explain why, and ask that those in the know spread the word if possible.

This is the only thing I can do at this point and still be fair to those who have written for me. Well, I could pay them and close the site, but I worked too hard and there are people out there who want to do more with it, as do I.

That's the scoop. I'm going to go and find a warm cat and a blanket now.

For the rest of you: Nov. 21st, 2005 @ 08:21 am
I am sorry.

I've been friending you this week. Look for me.

Looking for the latest issue of anaisdotmfk.com? Nov. 20th, 2005 @ 12:29 am
So am I.

Sorry, but there's an issue with the server, and the server's master is out of town. I've left word all over the internet for him, but I can't upload the newest issue until the problem has been resolved.

Doing what I can, which isn't enough for me, either, but it's all I have at the moment.

ATTENTION pholph!!! Nov. 18th, 2005 @ 09:29 pm
The following errors are being received when I try to upload files to the server for the webzine:

"Dreamweaver cannot determine the remote server time. The Select Newer and Synchronize commands will not be available."

AND

"An FTP error occurred- cannot get remote folder information.
Dreamweaver could not connect to the server. Please check your network connection and try again."

I can access the site for reading the old material, but I cannot maintain anything. I haven't changed any of my settings; my password wasn't changed, was it? I'll check the solfire.com page for an update and send you an email, but since I'm kind of desperate (you know, life keeps messing with me by tossing boulders in the way of my progress, here...), I thought I'd try this.

What's going on? How soon can I upload, etc? Help me, man, help me!

Thank you.

:)

From these fields you came, from cities large and townships small.
With fortune smiling, some returned,
But none returned with pieces all.

Each coin I spend for me I do because you paid a price.
My thanks alone are not toll enough.
Thinking of you once a year? Hardly a vice.

Instead, I look to the fields for signs of your toil;
Remembering freedom as a misnomer- gift with a cost.
Liberty paid for with many lives lost.

On that vegetarian lasagne? How veggie are you asking for it to be? Cheese and vegetables, vegan, what? I aim to please in the recipe department. :)

Also, regarding low-fat goodness: any category in particular, or are you hoping for sweet treats that taste bad for you, but aren't?

I know there are recipes I need to post, and once the webzine goes up, I'd like to do a lot of extra posting to ETK. So, here's a mini-poll in honor of the feasting season!

Poll #610396 Recipes.

The recipe that I've been waiting for you to post is:

A recipe I'd like you to create for me is:

Has Target caved to our demands yet? I am having withdrawals. It doesn't help that they are sending me massively well-designed holiday catalogs.
